They dont have to worry about children or even kids still at home.
She is the "secure option" Young men nowadays probably also recognize that older women are adept at diligently juggling so many responsibilities (career, children, housekeeping, fitness, finances, socializing), which makes them intriguing and attractive and a more secure option.

Whereas men look most handsome at 34, start to age at 41, stop looking 'good' at 58 and are seen to be 'old' at 59.
